Vilhelms Georgs Vācietis Latvia
Vilhelms Georgs Vācietis after graduation from the studies of choral conducting in the class of Valdis Bernhofs at Riga Cathedral Choir School has continued his education at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in the class of Māris Sirmais, graduating with a BA degree in 2018. Vilhelms Georgs Vācietis has successfully participated in several conducting competitions. He won the 2nd place at Emilis Melngailis 2nd International Choir Conducting Competition in Liepāja in 2014, and in 2016 he won the 2nd place and several special prizes in the 4th Open Viktor Rovdo Competition for Choral Conductors in Minsk, Belarus. V. G. Vācietis has participated in Imants Kokars 1st International Competition for Young Choir Conductors from Vocational Music Secondary Educational Institutions in 2013 and the 7th International Choir Conducting Competition Towards Polyphony in Wroclaw, Poland in 2014. Vilhelms Gerogs Vācietis is an assistant conductor of the University of Latvia Mixed Choir Juventus since January 2018, and since August 2018, he is an artist at the State Choir Latvija |
