Competition Schedule
The competition takes place in 3 rounds. 24 singers are selected for participation.
No more than half of the total number of participants will advance to Round II; no more than 6 participants will advance to Round III.
The Jury has the right not to award certain prizes or to divide the prize money among several participants. The decision of the Jury is beyond appeal.
Round III will take place at the Latvian National Opera with the Latvian National Opera Orchestra.
The participation order will be established by drawing of lots – the order will remain valid until the end of the competition. The prizewinners are obliged to participate in the awards ceremony without additional remuneration.
