The chief conductor of the 2017 competition is announced
From 1st to 3rd of November Jazeps Vitols 7th International Piano Competition will move from Riga to Liepaja's concert hall "Great Amber". All 6 piano concertos in the Final (1 and 2 November) and Closing Concert (3 November) will be conducted by Gintaras Rinkevičius - the new artistic director and Chief Conductor of the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Rinkevičius has conducted the world's best orchestras including the Berliner Symphoniker, Staatskapelle Weimar, and St Petersburg Philharmonic.
