Ekaterina Antonenko (1985, Russia)

 

Ekaterina Antonenko studied choir conducting at the Moscow Academic Music College (Prof. I. Usova) and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Prof. V. Sukhanov). In 2010—2012 she was granted a DAAD scholarship for studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Prof. Marcus Creed). She was in the finale of the 6th International Competition for Young Choral Conductors in Budapest (2011). She has participated in master classes with Frieder Bernius, Marc Minkowski, Kaspars Putnins and Hans-Christoph Rademann. Since 2012 she has been teaching at the Conducting Department of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Founded in Moscow in 2006 by Ekaterina Antonenko, IntradaVocal Ensemble has performed throughout Russia’s most prestigious concert venues, such as Great, Small and Rachmaninoff Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow and St.-Petersburg Philharmonic, Moscow International House of Music. Intrada regularly performs under such conductors as Vladimir Jurowski, Peter Neumann, Christopher Moulds, Aleksey Utkin and Aleksander Rudin.

Intrada enjoys its collaboration with Peter Phillips. In 2011, invited by Peter Phillips she conducted The Tallis Scholars at the Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. Intrada’snumerous performances have been broadcast by the Radio of Russia, Orpheus, Radio Svoboda and The Voice of Russia as well as have been featured on Russian National Television.
